Hi! My name is Rachel, you may know me as a friend or family member or from the community in Bellingham or Seattle! I'm organizing an emergency fundraiser for my dear friends Sarah and Robert Klemetson. Their dog Mater is in need of emergent surgery for a urinary obstruction. Sarah and Robert are wonderful people, animal rights activists and healers; they love animals and have spent much of their time giving back, and now they are in need of some financial support for their fur baby Mater. Unfortunately, this surgery has been quoted to be about $5000-$6000 with the likely possibility of going past that.

Mater is not just their dog, but he is a best friend to their children, and a beloved member of their family. Unfortunately as we all know, times are tough right now and finances are a barrier for many people. Since finding out about Maters condition, they have worked tirelessly applying for grants, care credit, and for other financial assistance. Unfortunately due to managing vet costs with their other dogs health, this has presented further financial challenges. I know finances are a struggle for many of us, but if you feel called to donate even $5 that would be immensely helpful; as we all know- small donations add up!
