Mateo is my cat, and recently he got into a bouquet of flowers my roommate got for Valentine’s Day. The bouquet had a lily in it, which is highly toxic to cats. We realized what happened almost immediately and rushed him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with lily poisoning. Mateo is now being hospitalized for three days so he can get the treatment he needs. Thankfully, because we figured it out almost immediately, his chances of surviving are high. Still, it’s been a scary and overwhelming experience for both of us, and I want to do everything possible to help him recover fully. It just happened so fast.

All together, the bill for Mateo’s treatment is pretty high. I’m reaching out for help to cover these unexpected bills and to make sure Mateo gets all the care he needs, now and later. Every little bit will go directly toward his hospitalization and any follow-up treatments he may need.
