Help Mateo Overcome Painful Dental Condition

Hi everyone,

My name is Abram, and I’m reaching out for help for my brave 9-year-old son, Mateo. Mateo was born with Hypodontia, a rare condition that left him with underdeveloped teeth—some without roots or enamel, known as “ghost teeth.” These teeth are not only fragile but also painful, making it difficult for him to eat, speak, and just be a kid.

After consulting with specialists, we’ve scheduled surgery for June 17, 2025, to remove three of these teeth and prevent further complications. Without this procedure, his pain and dental health will only worsen. But here’s the heartbreaking part: my insurance denies coverage, calling it “cosmetic”—even though this is about his health, comfort, and future.

As a veteran, I’ve always believed in serving others, but now I’m humbly asking for help for my son. The costs include:

Anesthesia (required for his safety and comfort)

Tooth extractions (three teeth with complex removal needs)

Follow-up care
