Help Mat Silvaggio's Battle with Cancer

Hello everyone!

Our amazing friend and colleague, Dr. Mathew Silvaggio, was recently diagnosed with cancer. He’ll be off work for the next year to undergo intensive treatment and surgery. His partner Melanie—also a healthcare worker at Trillium—will be taking unpaid time off to support him and care for their two young sons.

We’ve started a fundraiser to help ease the financial stress they’re facing—and just as importantly, to lift Mathew’s spirits by showing him how much his friends, colleagues, and community care. He doesn’t know about this yet—our hope is to surprise him with this show of support when the time is right.
