Help Mason Win His Fight Against Cancer

This fundraiser is for the medical treatments and vet expenses for Mason Carter Blaise, the greatest baby Werewolf on earth.

Meet Mason Carter Blaise, the most incredible rescue dog you'd ever meet. He entered my life a whirlwind of energy and anxiety from having been passed around to various owners, who didn't have the time to work with him properly. This is very difficult on both his breed combos that desperately need the security of one steady human to bond with forever. With a lot of love, gobs of patience, and a whole ton of determination, we built an unbreakable bond and he's become the sweetest, most brilliant and well socialized pup. Where we live, things could have gone very badly for him had we not found each other. Mason isn't just my dog. He's my shadow, my ride-or-die and has become my whole and total heart. We are connected and I have learned so much from him too forming our wordless connection. He has so many amazing wolf-like traits.

Life with Mason has also been a great adventure. We both love the woods and water. We've hiked mountains, splashed in rivers, lakes and waterfalls and even traveled to many regional dog parks. We've been to so many bars, restaurants, festivals and even galleries together. He's very well socialized but he still loves his time in the woods. He makes me get out because anything is worth making him smile, and when I get it right and he looks back at me with a huge smile, it's absolutely all worth while.

Recently, our world was shattered. He has had, what seemed to be some sort of infection that my local vet couldn't seem to figure out or properly address. I took him to a better vet out of town to have X-rays done and blood work in attempt to figure out this infection. The vet confirmed after getting the X-rays back and having them read, a very large cancerous growth inside of him. The prognosis was a shock, The Vet knew it was cancerous because it had already spread, metabolizing into three nodules in his lung already. The vet also said it was pushing out on his fifth rib as well and that it was certainly non-operable. She also did not want to do a biopsy as it could puncture the lung or do further damage, which I agreed with not doing because of the risk and it could also quicken the spread. Because it was spreading she could however use that fact, to say for certain that it was cancerous. just could not officially name it without an actual biopsy. After much consideration, we refused to just give up hope and fight it, hard!

We've chosen alternative treatments, including holistic therapies, over chemo or surgery and chose to give Mason several immune-boosting supplements and change of diet, to give Mason the best possible chance at fighting this cancer. The vet gave him one to three months to live at the time. I was stunned, again. It's been almost a month and he seems to be making good progress, thus far, on the treatments of medications, supplements and the new diet of homemade healthy food daily, twice a day.

I am however, most definitely on a limit and very fix budget, and while I'm not going wild on vet cost and traditional treatments, it is still costing a great deal and has gone far outside of my budget. I calculated out the total goal by what has been spent to date and what the next couple months should cost with the supplements, repeating liver test at the vet, the increase food cost and the chemical treatments daily. There's only one Mason. It's a lot but he is absolutely worth it and we have to try, everything. Anything donated is helpful in this cancer battle and will be so greatly appreciated, beyond words.

Your donation will go directly support Mason's treatment costs for:

* Holistic Therapies: Holistic supplements, specialized diets, and chemical treatments.

* Regular Vet Checkups: Essential for monitoring his liver function from the daily chemical treatments and knowing how to adjust the daily treatments properly as needed, without damaging his liver.

* Unexpected Costs: Medical emergencies and unforeseen expenses, if it turns bad.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving Mason the best and longest life he deserves. If you have any questions about his treatment, supplements, etc... feel free to ask. Thank you for your compassion and support in this need.
