Hi everyone, I’m reaching out for help during what has been an incredibly difficult couple of weeks. I recently contracted a severe case of salmonella that resulted in two emergency room visits this past week.

Because the illness is so severe, Shasta County Public Health has ordered me off work for two weeks to recover and ensure public safety. Unfortunately, I do not have access to sick pay or PTO. Being out of work for two weeks without income has put me in a very tough spot. With rent and regular cost-of-living expenses piling up, this unexpected medical crisis has hit at the worst possible time.

As many of you know, my girl and I are expecting our baby girl, Rory Mae, on June 3rd. With her arrival just around the corner, this loss of income has added a huge amount of stress during a time when we should be focused on getting ready for her.

We are looking to raise funds to help bridge the gap while I am legally unable to work. Your contributions will go directly toward rent and utilities for the next month, basic living expenses and groceries while recovering, and final essentials for Rory Mae’s arrival.
