Mason’s life changed overnight when his owner was incarcerated, and he was left with nowhere to go. He came to the shelter as an owner surrender, but what we found broke our hearts.
This sweet one-year-old boy was extremely underweight, with hardly any hair left on his body. His skin was so raw and painful that he spent his days miserable and itching until he opened up new wounds. Instead of being a playful young pup, Mason just curled up in his bed, too uncomfortable to even move.
The team at Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAS) couldn’t let him suffer. They rushed Mason to the vet for a full exam. He is now on medications, beginning treatment for his skin, and undergoing testing to figure out the root cause of his severe hair loss.
Mason deserves a chance to feel good in his own body again.
With the right treatment, meds, and care, he can heal, regain his strength, and finally find the loving home he’s been waiting for.
