My name is Mason Glasgow. I am 37 years old. I'm married to Cameron and have 3 boys ages 12, 14, and 16. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). ALS is a terminal, progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
Over the last year, my voice has gotten very weak and I have to believe that it will progress. Last month, I sent a video to a company and they were able to create a synthetic, digitized voice with my actual voice. Initially, we were told that funding was available to cover the cost but were recently denied assistance because the synthetic voice was not created the 'traditional' way.
We are seeking assistance to purchase the license to my voice in order to preserve my identity.
