Help Mason Cover Unexpected Medical Bills

Hey everyone, I’m Cail, Mason’s older brother. He’s one of the most important people in my life, and I’m so grateful for him.

At the end of August, Mason had a terrifying medical emergency. There was a minute where he thought he was going to die.

He became dizzy, collapsed, and split the back of his head open, which required staples at the hospital. His heart was out of rhythm, and he kept collapsing until his roommate called an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors ran x-rays and CT scans, and while they were able to stabilize him, he needs follow-up appointments to check his heart.

The hardest part is this happened in a short window where Mason didn’t have any health insurance. He'd just finished school, closed his practice in Pittsburgh and moved to Syracuse for his internship. He was in that dreaded gap of no health insurance, and he had this medical emergency happen out-of-the-blue. Now he’s on the hook for the ambulance ride, hospital stay, scans and tests, and the appointments he still needs but can’t afford.

Mason is in the final stretch of his doctoral program, which is already demanding enough without the weight of medical bills. If you know Mason, you know how generous and kind he is. He’s always been there for others, and right now he needs our support.
