My name is Mason Kusky.
12 years ago I was a national honor student who lost his way to the opiate epidemic. I spent the next decade clawing my way back from addiction, trauma, and a system that kept knocking me down.
On June 14th, 2026, I turn 30 years old.
That same day marks 5 years of sobriety (hemp only for my BPD and CPTSD as a survivor of sexual abuse and domestic violence) and a decade off hard substances.
My clean dates:
Shrooms 06/14/21
Cigarettes 05/31/21
Alcohol 11/01/20
Cocaine 05/27/19
LSD 08/18/18
Vyvanse 05/31/18
Ketamine 07/21/16
MDMA 12/25/15
Opiates 12/25/15
Xanax 08/10/15
Meth 07/16/15
I was watching UFC when they announced the White House card. I manifested this moment for 253 days. I received my tickets to UFC Freedom 250 at the White House for both days of the fan fest on my birthday weekend.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I earned through a decade of fighting to stay alive.
Here is my reality right now: I am disabled. I have a spinal cord injury. I am fighting a legal battle I cannot discuss publicly yet. I have no income beyond plasma donations. I have no running water at home. I am recovering from injuries that changed my life permanently.
I have the tickets. I cannot get there alone.
This is what I need:
FlixBus round trip: $80
Lodging in Arlington June 12-15: $327
Transit and spending in DC: $200
Necessary medication: $150
Food: $100 (covered)
Total: approximately $757
I am not asking for a luxury. I am asking for the basic logistics to get to a moment that took ten years of survival to earn the chance to win a set of tickets
I will document every dollar spent. I will vlog the entire trip. I will show you what it looks like when someone who was never supposed to make it past 18, walks up to the White House on their 30th birthday. Someone who beat 13 felonies, before they turned 21, finding mercy, grace, and redemption, at the foot of God's throne.
This is not a vacation. This is a victory lap for everyone who did not think they would make it either, and did, and for all those people we've lost, that didn't get the extra years.
I leave in 27 days. The fundraiser closes June 10th.
If you have ever rooted for the underdog, this is your moment, to show out.
Even a share is a gift. A prayer is a gift. And if you can spare $5, $10 or $20, it gets me one step closer to the starting line of the next chapter.
I am a WARR;OR. Not just a SURV;VOR.
Thank you for being part of my 30th birthday miracle.
