السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
About Masjid Piety - We are located in Plymouth and are 1 of the 3 only masjids in this city!
Masjid Piety has been a place of prayer, learning, and community for many years. Alhamdulillah, our congregation continues to grow, and with it, the need to improve our facilities so that worshippers can pray in comfort and dignity.
One of our most urgent needs is the creation of a proper wudu (ablution) area. Our current setup is limited and unable to accommodate the number of people who attend daily prayers, Jumu’ah, classes, and community gatherings. A dedicated wudu facility will provide:
• Safe and accessible spaces for performing ablution
• Improved hygiene and cleanliness
• Better accommodation for elders, children, and people with disabilities
• A welcoming environment for both regular attendees and new visitors
To complete this essential project, we need to raise £32,000. Every pound will go directly toward construction, plumbing, fixtures, tiling, and creating a durable, high-quality wudu space that will serve our community for many years.
How You Can Help
Your donation—big or small—will make a meaningful impact. Even sharing this campaign with family and friends is a form of sadaqah. Remember, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
And regarding ongoing charity, the Prophet ﷺ taught us:
“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”
(Sahih Muslim)
By contributing to the construction of the wudu facilities—something that will be used daily by countless worshippers—you are giving toward sadaqah jariyah, a charity that continues to benefit you long after you have given.
• Donate whatever you’re able — even £1 is meaningful
• Share the fundraiser with others
• Make dua for the success of this project
May Allah reward you, accept your charity, and make this facility a means of comfort for our Muslim brothers and sisters for generations to come.
جزاكم الله خير
