The Diagnosis
Two weeks ago today my girlfriend, my love Maria (Masha) Tretyakova, got a call that would change her and my life forever: her OB GYN asked her to leave work immediately and report to the ER. The doctor found something suspicious on a routine CT scan we did a few days earlier. Masha got admitted at Swedish hospital Seattle the same day and went through a couple of procedures, biopsies and blood markers and on Oct 9 we got the nightmare news: she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Uterine cancer that unfortunately had already spread into her lungs. A day later she went through a complex surgery, including a full hysterectomy and removal of the main tumor and a part of her digestive system.

Outlook
As she is recovering from surgery we are preparing for 6 rounds of Chemotherapy over 5 months, which will start next week or so. She’s a warrior and is determined ... but it’s fair to say that we feel massively overwhelmed over this new fight we have had dropped in our lap.
While she has basic insurance, we are not set up to be able to cover all the additional expenses. The first bills have arrived, and the costs are mounting. It is a paralyzing situation not to know how to pay for the treatment she needs. We want our life back and it’s going to be a big fight, and we need your help. Please consider donating to help us with the expected, and unexpected, expenses associated with the tough fight ahead.

What Happens With Your Donation
Your donations will be placed into a account to help cover insurance copays and deductibles related to treatments, potential clinical trials and treatments not covered by insurance, medication, a wig for the duration of the chemotherapy just to name a few.
Any help you can contribute is massively appreciated and will show we're not alone in this fight. Thank you so much!
