My son has been in the ICU at Boston Children's Hospital for two weeks, fighting a rare blood disorder called Evans syndrome. This condition causes his immune system to attack his own blood cells, leading to unpredictable flare-ups and repeated hospital stays. Watching my son go through this has been incredibly hard, and every day brings new challenges and worries.

Because of his hospitalization, I haven't been able to work, and our bills are piling up. On top of that, my car needs repairs before I can bring my son home to Maine when he is well enough to leave the hospital. The stress of not knowing how I’ll cover our living expenses, fix the car, and make sure my son gets the care he needs has been overwhelming.
