Hi my name is Cara, and I am fundraising for my coworker and friend Marybeth. Many of you know MaryBeth, she has been on the island since 1983. She started working at O’Shays, and worked at several other hot spots like the Prawnbroker, Marco island Hilton for 10 years, Hoots, red rooster 10 years, and most recently Smith House. Marybeth has 2 children, BreAnne Yacono and Todd Akers and 5 grandchildren. 

She was recently diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer. She has began radiation, and several other treatments at the cancer center in Naples.

We are hoping to raise money to cover living and medical expenses while she is going through treatment and unable to work as much.
