Help Maryanne and Jake in Their Time of Need

My name is MaryAnne Pressley. As many of you know, my husband, Noel, passed away on June 8th from colorectal cancer. He went into the hospital on January 25th, 2025, for abdominal pain and was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer on January 29th. I had no clue that this day would forever change our lives.

At first, the doctors were optimistic, and he was able to do one chemo treatment. He was in good spirits, and we were hopeful that he was going to beat this. However, on May 1st, he was picked up by ambulance for his second chemo treatment. Sadly he was admitted into the hospital and never came home.

Over the past 4 ½ months, Noel was in and out of hospitals; underwent 8 surgeries (one of which almost killed him). He was in excruciating pain and had to be transferred by ambulance every time he went to the doctor or the hospital. Unfortunately, he did not have health insurance.

In the midst of all of this, our son Jake graduated high school. Thankfully, Noel was able to watch his graduation ceremony from his hospital bed via live YouTube.

I was also diagnosed with breast cancer in December and had a double mastectomy on 1/3, just 2 days after his diagnosis. I ended up with an infection and had to have a second surgery, which delayed his homecoming. On June 3rd, I had a third surgery and the next day had to make the decision for him to be in hospice. He passed 5 days later. Thank God he is no longer in pain or suffering!

Between the cost for the hospital stays, surgeries, ambulance services, doctor's visits, and treatment, I wondered how we were going to pay the mortgage, much less all the medical expenses.

Now, I have a memorial service to plan and pay for the funeral home expenses. I am asking and will be grateful to my family, friends, and whomever else may be able to donate any amount through this GoFundMe page

Noel has been cremated and the service will be held on July 12th in Senoia, GA.
