Hello, my name is Elizabeth Samaniego and I'm starting this GoFundMe campaign for a dear friend of mine in an effort to help her with moving expenses and other incidentals.

On January 29, 2022, our beloved friend and coworker, Mary Valdivia was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM), a terminal form of brain cancer. She underwent surgery on February 3, 2022, and is scheduled to begin her first round of aggressive chemotherapy and radiation in mid-March, which will last six weeks.

Mary has worked for almost 45 years and has been a close personal friend to many. She is handling the situation as best she can and is in relatively good spirits. After her initial treatment, she will be relocating to her native home in California. This move will allow her to be close to her immediate family while she undergoes her second round of treatment.
