Hi everyone, I’m Julio Hernandez and I’m fundraising for my mom Mary Achury. Unfortunately today, June 9th, my mom suffered a tragic car accident in Newtown, Connecticut. It is going to be a difficult process, and at this time we do not have the financial resources to afford her care. She will have to undergo multiple surgeries in order to recover. Moving from a different country was a massive struggle due to the fact that we had to face many obstacles, such as a language barrier, a different culture and of course discrimination, but we kept going and we won’t give up. She tirelessly works multiple jobs in different places to help make my dream of attending college possible, and our family relies heavily on her hard work. She is always caring and dedicated to accomplishing all of her goals including seeing her son graduate from college. As a son, it is really frustrating seeing my mom this way and I wish I could do more to make her feel better. I can say she is a wonderful human being, always willing to help her family and others; she is beautiful, charismatic, responsible, disciplined, and so much more. From the bottom of my heart I’m begging your help so this process can be easier. All funds will be used towards paying hospital and therapy bills. As a family we would really appreciate any assistance possible. I can’t wait to see my mom smiling and enjoying life again. God Bless All of you!
