Help Mary Recover From Cancer Surgery

Hi Y’all,

In March of 2023, I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. The past 6 months were some of the hardest ever: but there have been a lot of “best worst case scenarios.” I’m through with chemo and radiation with surgery scheduled for November. Sadly, I just found out I do not qualify for paid FMLA because I haven’t worked in Washington state for 18 months. I’m the breadwinning partner in a family of 4. Your help here will go towards my ever mounting medical bills, living expenses for my 4 weeks off of work, food bills and help around the house, & for our children this winter.

My prognosis is excellent, my spirits are high. My partner and kids have been incredibly supportive and amazing in their kind and loving care for me, as have the rest of our family and friends.

I know there are many less privileged than we are, and I also ask that you consider donating to the many other worthy causes on this platform.

If you are a close friend finding out only now about this: I am truly sorry. It’s been a whirlwind past 6 months of work and medical visits and interventions. I love you and am able to receive your calls and texts and affirmations anytime!

My very strong faith is getting me through, and I have lots left to do and amazing people cheering me on. Thank you to each of you: It means the absolute world to me.
