Help Mary Overcome Seizures and Hardships

Hi, my name is Mary, and I live with epilepsy, which often sends me to the hospital due to unpredictable seizures. It's incredibly disheartening because so many times, I'm left without a way to get back home. The stress of mounting bills – rent, utilities, food – has been overwhelming, and on top of it all, my family and I don't have reliable transportation, making it nearly impossible to get where we need to go.
The constant injuries from seizures are tough enough, but what truly breaks my heart is the feeling of not being believed or helped when I'm at my most vulnerable in the hospital. Last time, I was even told to 'stop having a seizure' and that I was doing it voluntarily. Can you imagine? It's moments like these that make me feel so alone and unsure of what to do next.
I had a follow-up with my neurologist today, and after hearing about my multiple hospitalizations and ongoing seizures, she requested an EEG. Usually, these are done in the office, but this time, it's a take-home unit. While my insurance supposedly covers it, I'm facing a daunting $500 charge if anything happens to the machine. This unexpected cost feels like an insurmountable barrier to getting the proper testing I desperately need. I'm truly losing hope, and I would be incredibly grateful for any support to help me reach my goal of getting the care I need to manage my condition and regain some stability.
