Help Mary Overcome Cancer

Hello Everyone,

I’m Stephanie Meier, writing this to ask for help for my younger sister Mary.

What we know so far:

On January 19, 2022 Mary’s biopsy test confirmed the tumors in her abdomen are Cancer.

One week earlier, Mary was rushed to the Emergency room in Bismarck, ND with excruciating abdominal pain. An Ultrasound was performed. An infection and 3 tumors were found in her abdomen. She stayed in the hospital for a week, struggling with intense pain from the infection. She is thankfully at home again.

She has seen an Oncologist. The infection in her stomach is a symptom of the cancer.

She has a PET scan, colonoscopy and an endoscopy scheduled in the next week. She has been connected with the MAYO clinic and her doctor is working to attack the cancer aggressively.

Her Cancer type is unknown at this time, but will be updated as soon as we know more.

About Mary

Mary Kossan (Leppert) is 33 years old. She is very healthy and has never had any medical issues. She and her husband Justin are new parents of my sweet niece Yara, who was born Oct. 2, 2021 with Down Syndrome.

Mary is a Massage Therapist in Bismarck, ND. She truly loves her work and her clients.

Giving Hope

Her immediate financial need is to cover the unexpected medical bill from the hospital stay.

She is self employed and the loss of income due to medical appointments and procedures, will make things tough for her and her family.

Every $ helps. I honestly don’t know what the ongoing medical bills will be.

For now, I want to lift some of the financial burden and remove stress, while she focuses on fighting and healing.

If this is your first time hearing of Mary’s illness, it may shock you and for that I’m sorry. But know that we are so thankful for each of you and appreciate you all so much.

We believe in the power of prayer and the power of God, please pray for her complete healing.

Maybe Mary is your cousin, your niece, your therapist, your friend, an old acquaintance or a complete stranger.

She is my little sister and the best “Aunt Meme” to my girls. She is the glue of our family and my best friend. She is an amazing mommy and wife. She is a kind and generous person to everyone she meets. Mary’s positivity and smile lights up every room. Her heart is always open.
