If you don't yet know my momma, Mary Jo, you're missing out! She is seriously the sweetest person alive, and will give an arm and a leg to help anyone! It breaks my heart that she is struggling right now!
Mom had surgery a few weeks ago, and we thought she was recovering well, until the day of my little sister, McKenna's, wedding. That day, Mom started feeling horrible. By the end of the wedding, she couldn't walk, had a burning fever, was super nauseous, was in extreme pain, and had super low blood pressure. We knew something was very wrong, and forced her to go into the ER. (Of course she didn't want to go in). They soon determined she had sepsis! She had a severe case of infection, and her body was almost to the point of shutting down organs! The Vernal hospital rushed her by ambulance to a Provo hospital, where the doctors performed another surgery to remove the worst of the infection. The doctors said that we could have lost her if we hadn't forced her into the ER that night. They kept her for several days, and sent her home on antibiotics. But then Mom had a severe allergic reaction to the antibiotic, and her face started swelling. Her eyes swelled shut, and her throat was swelling shut! They got her back for medical help, and finally got the reaction under control.
Fast forward to today, and Mom is doing much better. Not great, but better. We give thanks to God every day that we didn't lose her!
Now, if the pain from sepsis wasn't enough, the medical bills are coming rolling in. And without insurance, they are stacking up really quickly for Mom!! The original surgery bill, the second surgery bill, three different hospital stays, the anesthesiologists bills, the doctors bills, the ambulance ride bill, the medications costs...So, if you feel it in your heart to give a little to my momma, who has spent her entire life giving and giving to everyone around her, I know she'd appreciate it!
P.s., PLEASE don't tell my Mom that we are doing this. She hates to take from others. She only likes to GIVE, but at this time, they could use some help. If we all do a little, it adds up quickly!
