Help Mary Jane Recover

Hi, my name is Kaitrin. I’m raising funds to help pay vet bills for my sick gal, Mary Jane. She’s the nicest and sweetest cat, and is 10 years old. She’s still got lots of life in her. MJ has always been a larger cat, but she recently lost almost double her weight (22lbs down to 13lbs) in the past two weeks, which has been quite alarming. As it turns out, she hasn’t been eating much, and is now currently not eating at all. We believe this is due to an abscessed tooth. The significant weight loss in such a short period of time has put a massive strain on her liver, and she is now experiencing jaundice and the beginning of liver disease/failure. Unfortunately, this means she requires hospitalization and monitoring while she receives IV fluids, a catheter, pain medication, anti-nausea’s, antibiotics, bloodwork, and other tests to exclude other potential causes such as fatty liver disease or cancer. After she is back to a stable state, she will also need to have her abscesses tooth removed. Please help me get my sweet girl back to being healthy so she can get back to chirping at the birds and chasing laser pointers ❤️
