Meet Mary Jane: Our Gentle Giant

If you've ever met a Great Dane, you know they are "velcro dogs," but Mary Jane takes being a gentle giant to a whole new level. She is a massive girl with a heart that is even bigger than she is. Despite her size, she thinks she's a lap dog, and there is nothing she loves more than leaning her heavy body against yours, almost as if she’s giving you a hug.

She has spent her life being the calmest, most loving soul—a giant presence in our home who asks for nothing but a soft bed and a little bit of your time.

The Urgent Need

As Mary Jane has entered her senior years, she has developed a tumor that has recently become a serious health concern. It has started bleeding, which tells us that time is of the essence. To keep our sweet girl comfortable and to prevent the situation from getting worse, she needs surgery to have it removed immediately.

We are reaching out. Mary Jane is the kind of dog who has spent her life giving love to everyone she meets; now, she needs a little of that love returned.

Mary Jane still has many "leans" left to give. Thank you for helping us protect our sweet, giant girl <3
