My younger sister, Mary Koeper-Rabideaux, has been fighting Angioimmunoblastic T Cell Lymphoma cancer for the past 6 months. She is a single mother with two wonderful children who rely solely on her ( kids ages are 9 and 11). Mary is 47 years old. As soon as she had children she became very focused on raising her children the right way and they have been her priority ever since. She works full time and then some to provide for them. Mary has always been a good person who puts her family first and it is difficult to watch this happen. She has been stronger than anyone I know as she goes through this. She is a very private person and would never ask for help, so I am doing it for her.
Mary has medical insurance. However, her portion of the current medical bills total over $15,000 with plenty more on the way. She has gone through 6 rounds of chemo-therapy. In March she will receive five more rounds of chemo, then 2-4 weeks in a bubble while they do Car T-stem Cell Transplant. Her prognosis is good to get through all of this according to the doctors. It would be nice for her to be able to concentrate on healing and taking care of her children instead of worrying about how she will pay the medical bills and losing more of her precious time in doing so.
Mary's boss Rob and his wife Christi Sturrock have been so helpful during this time. They really stepped up as her employers and friends, While Mary has been dealing with this, Rob has taken most of her responsibilities while still operating his business and handling all of his responsibilities at the same time. All while still providing Mary a generous pay check every week. They will also fly in our aunts to help with the kids while Mary will be in the hospital. I won't list everything they did as it wouldn't fit on this page... its time for us to help her the rest of the way.
If you could donate, every dollar counts. Thank you in advance.
