Help Mary Fight Cancer—Again
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Daisy Drudge, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my sister, Mary, who is currently fighting for her life—again.
Mary is a true survivor. After bravely beating breast cancer, we thought the worst was behind her. But now, she faces an even more difficult battle: Multiple Myeloma, a rare and aggressive blood cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow, causing bone damage, severe pain, and life-threatening complications.
Mary has been receiving treatment far from home in Quebec City, over 1,200 kilometers from where she lives in Old Fort Bay, Quebec, a small and remote coastal village on the Lower North Shore.
She was staying in an apartment near the hospital for outpatient care, but just yesterday, she was readmitted to hospital with serious complications. Her health has declined, and she is now back under full-time medical care.
Because of this illness, Mary has been unable to work for the past year, and it’s unlikely she will be able to return to work anytime soon. The emotional, physical, and financial toll of fighting two cancers is overwhelming. Travel, lodging, and basic expenses have quickly added up—and now that she is hospitalized again, we are even more concerned about her needs.
We are asking for your help to support Mary with:
Daily living expenses while she is unable to work
Peace of mind so she can focus on healing, not finances
Mary is one of the kindest, most selfless people I know. She's the type of person who shows up for everyone else, even when she's hurting. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Any donation—big or small—will make a difference. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this page with others. Your support means everything to our family. ❤️
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping Mary through this.
With love and gratitude,
