Last Friday, our family was devastated to find out our beloved mother, Mary Camper, or more affectionately known to many others as “Mom Mary,” was diagnosed with stomach cancer and has to begin chemotherapy treatments next week. She’s worked in healthcare at Mallard Bay for over 47 years and is truly the heart and soul of the nursing home and our family. She’s always quick to help anyone and encourage everyone with her fighting spirit. She truly is a remarkable woman; her whole life has been devoted to helping others, and we, as her family, are hoping to maybe give back a little of what she’s given so many and help lessen the stress and burden of her medical bills that treatment may present.
