My mom is the most selfless, strong and determined woman I know. She has given everything to make sure I had the best life possible and now, she does the same for her grandson, my son, Wilder.

With another grand baby on the way and so much more life to live, and so much more to offer the world,  she received the news this past Saturday that no one is ever prepared for, "Mary, you have breast cancer". 

My mom is an incredibly healthy, mindful woman and has been for my entire life. This news has completely stunned our entire family. 

She is brave, strong and practical and in order to better her odds for recovery, she will have a mastectomy on Tuesday, May 11th. 

There's no way to know until after her surgery what she will be facing as far as further treatment and recovery are concerned so, in an attempt to lighten this massive weight on her shoulders, I am creating this campaign to support her.

To support her health, her healing and to ensure that medical expenses and her beloved home in Eastport are taken care of while she navigates these new and daunting waters.  

Anything that you can give will help. 

We are dreaming of the day when all of you can visit her Downeast, around the fire in the ocean air in the town she loves so much.
