Hi everyone,

I know my brothers and I haven’t posted any news about our mom and so I want to do that now. On September 26th my mom had a stroke. She’s still currently in the ICU at UCSD Jacobs Medical Center. On September 29th she underwent a head surgery to relieve the pressure from her brain swelling. Her doctors let us know head injuries and surgeries are extremely complicated and sensitive matters, we are at a standstill until my mom regains full consciousness to know the effects of her stroke.

My mom is, and will always be, the backbone of our family. She holds us together, keeping us close. She has three children and three grandchildren. She also has many siblings, and although she’s known as the baby, she’s taken on a lot of responsibility over her siblings. The love and care my mom has for her family and friends is incomparable. She has devoted her entire life to protecting and loving us. I want my mom to know she’s not alone, I want her to know there’s people who are praying and hoping and wishing her all the best. We’re all here by her side.

My mom’s coworkers (friends) have been extremely helpful and supportive, I’m very thankful my mom is surrounded by amazing people, my family and I cannot express “thank you” enough. One of her friends has set-up a GoFundMe page for our friends outside of my mom’s work to see, any little helps, especially for unexpected expenses. We appreciate all of the support.
