This past year has been unimaginably hard for my dear friend, Mary Ann. Within just one year, she lost both of her parents. Her father passed away August of last year and most recently her mother, Carolyn Wallace, also passed after a difficult year of hospital stays and declining health.

On top of the heartbreak, Mary Ann is now left to navigate significant financial burdens. Her mother never had the chance to update the beneficiary paperwork for their life insurance after her father’s passing, leaving Mary Ann without the support she should have received. She is also responsible for burial expenses and has inherited her family’s home, which she must now figure out how to maintain or settle.

Through all of this, Mary Ann has continued nursing school, paying out of pocket and working hard toward her dream of becoming a nurse. She is carrying grief, school, and overwhelming financial responsibility all at once.

We are raising funds to help Mary Ann with:

• Burial expenses for her beloved mother, Carolyn Wallace

• Nursing school tuition and books so she can continue her education

• Costs associated with the family home as she decides the next steps
