Help Mary and Cory Through This Heartbreaking Time

Life has taken an incredibly difficult turn for our dear friends, Mary Metcalfe and Cory Van Bergen and they need our support.

In the past year, their family has been facing immense challenges but now their world has been turned upside down.

On March 6, 2025, their 10-year-old son, Riley, died suddenly and unexpectedly from a brain tumour. Riley was a kind and active child who loved gymnastics, jiu jitsu, baseball, paddle boarding, woodworking, and family vacations. He will be greatly missed by many in our community.

With so much heartache, the last thing that Mary and Cory should have to worry about is finances. Any support, big or small, will mean the world to them during this incredibly difficult time. Whether it’s a donation, sharing this page or keeping this beautiful family in your thoughts and prayers. All funds raised will go directly to Mary and Cory to help with funeral costs, mental health support for the family, and space to take time to heal from their unimaginable loss.
