My name is Vanessa Moore and I'm helping to raise funds for Marvin the owner of my favorite place to meditate and watch the Sunset.
Sunset Walk isn’t just a bar — it’s a feeling.
Perched on the most western tip of Jamaica, it’s where locals and travelers alike gather to watch the sky melt into the Caribbean Sea, where laughter mixes with reggae rhythms, and where Negril still feels like the Negril we fell in love with.
Since opening in 2018, Sunset Walk has been more than a place to grab a drink — it’s been a community. A space that celebrates friendship, music, and the kind of easy joy that makes Jamaica special.
But for the second year in a row, that joy has been shaken. First by Hurricane Beryl, and now, by the devastation of Hurricane Melissa — whose winds and waves hit us even harder. The bar has suffered severe damage: destroyed infrastructure, broken furniture, and flooding that stripped away much of what we built with love and care.
Still, our spirit remains unbroken.
We believe in rebuilding — stronger, safer, and even more beautiful. But we can’t do it alone.
Your support will help us:
Repair and rebuild the bar’s structure and deck
Replace damaged furniture and equipment
Restore utilities and safety systems
Bring back jobs for our team and the vibrant community around Sunset Walk
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to reopening the place where the sun meets the sea — and where people from all over the world meet each other.
If Sunset Walk has ever made you smile, given you a memory, or simply reminded you what life in Negril is all about, please consider giving what you can to help us rise again.
Let’s rebuild Sunset Walk — together.
One love, always.
