Help Marvin Kennedy in His Time of Need
Donation protected
Friends, Family, Teammates, and Rye Garnets:
Recently, George Burkhart (left side out of photo), Paul Stafford, Joe Seftner, and Steve Verille visited Marvin "Chitty from the City" Kennedy at the Calvary Hospital Hospice located at 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 10461, Room 346.
Marvin has been dealing with a chronic, debilitating medical health condition.
To all that have known Marvin, there is no nicer, humbler, decent, classier human being that you could meet or call a friend.
Many of us have grown up with Marvin in Rye, New York, went to school with him, and watched or played sports with him. His quiet, smooth, and cool demeanor on the basketball court still resonates with those who saw him play or played with or against him. Always a smile on his face and a kind word for all.
After high school, he served in the United States Marines. In his dress blues, he looked like a model for the Marine ideal soldier. Marvin sacrificed and served his country.
Marvin did not ask for this GoFundMe, and he might be mad at us for creating it. But now we would like to give back to Marvin. His malady has taken its toll and we hope that you all will consider a contribution. These funds will help with any medical bills and hopefully provide some peace of mind for him and his family.
Thank you for your consideration, one and all. If possible, please send cards and notes of your support and well wishes to the above address.
