Dear friends, it is not often that Pedro and I ask for your help, but in this case, we feel compelled to do so to help our friend Marveli Galindo. We met Marveli through rideshare, and over the past year, she has become our preferred driver, taking our family to the airport and other destinations. Through these many trips, we have gotten to know Marveli as a hardworking and caring person. Originally from El Salvador, Marveli has been working in the US to support her parents and to ensure a better life for her only child, her daughter Alison.

All Marveli ever talks about is her beloved Alison and how much she adores her. Alison is a sweet teenage girl with dreams of attending university, becoming a graphic designer, and one day having a family of her own. On December 22, Alison was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the young age of 18. Since that dreadful day, Marveli has been working round the clock with Salvadoran doctors to put together an aggressive plan to save Alison's life. Marveli's sole focus has been paying for the emergency surgeries, tests, ultrasounds, and chemotherapy that have transpired in the last few weeks. Everything has happened so fast, and Marveli simply doesn't have the savings to face the rising medical bills and procedures required to save her daughter's life.

We ask that you help us raise money to relieve the financial stress that Marveli is enduring. Any donation, big or small, goes a long way. All funds will go directly to Marveli so she can pay for weekly treatments, medical visits, and most importantly, the hysterectomy that Alison will need. Prayers are also welcome and much needed. Despite the challenges Marveli and Alison are facing, Marveli remains faithful and hopeful that her daughter will receive the care she needs for an extended life.
