Marv was surrendered to us on Friday 5/8/2026 after I answered a Facebook ad looking to rehome this sweet boy. He is approximately 5-6 years old and has not had vet care since 2021. Several local shelters turned him away due to his complicated health and multiple people commented that he needed to be put down.

I knew in my heart that I could not let that happen due to someone's inability to properly care for their dog.

Upon meeting Marv we instantly saw how under weight he was (approximately 20 lbs), the confusion & sadness in his eyes, lack of any energy at all- almost like he had given up himself.

He is struggling horribly with what appears to be severe allergies, bacteria, yeast and uncontrolled itching—sometimes he falls over while standing up, desperately trying to scratch himself. His skin is raw, bleeding, and scabbed, and he has lost patches of hair from the constant itching/biting himself. His ears are red and raw, and we are unsure what kind of bacteria, yeast or mites might be growing in them. Recently, Marv's eyes have turned very red and he is itching them raw/until they bleed.

He hasn't had a heartworm test, been on prevention, or received vaccines in over five years, which puts him at further risk.

Marv's vet care, upkeep and medication's are going to be extensive and costly. We want to give this big guy a fighting chance and help him feel better.

The funds raised will go directly toward his medical care, including vet visits, tests, treatments for his skin, ears, and eyes, as well as supplies to improve his quality of life.
