I, Mohammad Rafi Shaik reaching out to seek urgent financial help for Maruthi Reddy Thummuru (19 years old), who recently suffered a severe bike accident in Vallabhapuram, Andhra Pradesh, India. He sustained critical head injuries and has been in a coma in the ICU since March 19th. His condition has required intubating (Ventilator) for several days (March 19 2025 to Till date)

Who is Maruthi?

Maruthi is a hardworking student pursuing his BCA degree at ASN Degree College, Tenali. He comes from a humble background—his father is a farmer, and his mother is a homemaker. They have always prioritized his education despite financial hardships.

His Current Condition

Maruthi is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospitals, Tadepalli, Vijayawada. Doctors have advised that he needs to remain in the ICU for at least another week. After that, he will be moved to the general ward for up to 2 months based on his recovery. Additionally, he will require at-home neuro treatment for at least a year to regain normal function.

Unfortunately, he does not have health insurance, and his family has already exhausted their savings and borrowed heavily from friends and relatives.

ICU charges: 1257 CAD or 876 USD per day

Hospital stay (General Ward): 2+ months

Neuro treatment at home: 1 year

Total estimated cost: 45,000 CAD
