My Aunt Maru is very sick in ICU at the Red Cross in Tijuana and unfortunately she has a very aggressive form of pneumonia with pseudomonas aeruginosa. She also has rheumatoid arthritis, which makes her more susceptible to aggressive infections due to her immune system being suppressed.

She entered the hospital on 12/02/2025 because she was very sick and her oximetry level was 74%, and that is very alarming. She has been hospitalized since. She was intubated on 12/07/2025, and she still had a fever due to her infection being resistant to antibiotics. So, she has had the antibiotics changed 3 times. Finally, we have moved to 3 antibiotics that seem to be working now because today is the first day she did not have a fever.

Hospital bills are accruing and unfortunately everything is out of pocket so we need extreme support in being able to cover the hospital bill. She is getting ABGs twice a day because it is imperative to check her arterial gas levels due to the complications of her lungs and being intubated. All lab work and specialty treatment is aside from hospital bills. As well as specialty treatments. Today she had a bronchoscopy and bronchial lavage that alone was $1,000.
