Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We’re reaching out on behalf of two of the most loving, selfless people we know—Marty and John—who are currently facing an overwhelming set of challenges.

Marty recently underwent major back surgery in Oklahoma City. While the procedure was necessary, it came with complications that have made her recovery slow and difficult. She is still in Oklahoma City receiving care, and her husband, John, has been traveling back and forth nearly 200 miles every single day to be by her side, help with her needs, and also make sure their family member, Don, is taken care of at home.

Yesterday, their only vehicle broke down in Oklahoma City—the transmission gave out, leaving John stranded and adding another major stressor to an already difficult situation. As if that weren’t enough, over the weekend their refrigerator stopped working, and now they are facing the unexpected cost of replacing it.

This family has always been there for others, showing love, compassion, and strength in times of need. Now it’s our turn to be there for them.
