Marty, my husband, has always been the heart of our family and our community. He’s the kind of person who greets everyone with a smile and a joke, and he’s spent years taking care of others—whether it’s helping people in our mobile home park or maintaining the cabins throughout the summer. But now, Marty is facing the toughest challenge of his life. He’s been diagnosed with lung cancer, has an aneurysm near his heart, nodules on both sides of his neck, and drainage issues that require surgery. He’s currently in the hospital, and it’s been incredibly hard for both of us.

Marty’s health has made it impossible for him to keep up with work, and I’m doing my best to take care of him and manage everything else at home. The medical bills are piling up, and we’re struggling to keep up with household expenses and the cost of traveling for his treatments. Marty has served our country in the National Guard, Army, and Navy, and even trained as a Navy SEAL. Despite his years of service and the retainer pay he receives, it’s just not enough to cover all the bills that keep coming in.

Marty has always been a godsend to me, and I want to do everything I can to help him get through this.
