Hi, my name is Jose Fernandez, everyone knows me as Joey, and I’m proud to call Tulare my home. I’m stepping up to help a fellow local fella and friend in our community who desperately needs our support right now.
If you live in Tulare, chances are you know "Martinez and Daughters Produce" on Facebook. For years, Mr. Martinez—a dedicated, hardworking single father of three girls—has been a familiar and beloved face in our community. He works tirelessly to provide for his daughters, taking great pride in his local produce business, which is not only his family's livelihood but a labor of love shared with his girls.
Recently, every parent’s worst nightmare became a reality for this hardworking family. While he was out working alongside his young daughter selling watermelons to support their family, he was targeted and robbed at gunpoint.
This senseless act of violence didn't just steal hard-earned cash—it shattered a family's sense of safety. As the new school year approaches, this money was specifically raised to help buy school clothes, shoes, and essential supplies for his three daughters.
Losing his operating funds has dealt a devastating blow to his small business, threatening his ability to stay afloat and provide for his children.
Mr. Martinez has always been a proud, self-sufficient member of our community who shows up for his family every single day. Now, it's our turn to show up for him.
We are coming together as a community to help him:
Recover the stolen funds and replace essential business operating cash.
Ensure his three girls have everything they need for the upcoming school year.
Give this hardworking single father the peace of mind and financial cushion he needs to safely get back on his feet.
Any contribution—no matter how small—will go directly to Mr. Martinez and his daughters. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and leaving a kind word of encouragement for the family.
Thank you for wrapping your arms around the Martinez family during this difficult time and showing what the Tulare community is truly made of.
