Help Martina Norwegian Rebuild Her Home After Fire

Donation protected

I'm fundraising for my Mother-in-Law, Martina Norwegian, who lost her home and all her belongings in a devastating house fire early this morning. Martina was out of town when the fire happened and she is safe and unharmed.

Martina's home was a sweet cozy 2 bedroom, one-bathroom house located on the same lot that her mother raised her and her siblings on. She adorned the walls with family photos and special keepsakes from her travels with her kids and her brother Jonas. The home held many memories and treasures that will never be able to be replaced, but with some help, she will be able to rebuild a home for her to return to after volunteering with the church, the Fort Simpson Historical Society, and her busy job with the GNWT.

The fire was due to no fault of her own and appears to have been either negligence or arson from other people on her property without her permission or knowledge. Martina's sister Emma was diligent to keep an eye on the house whenever Martina was away and was at the house until after midnight. The fire alarm was sounded around

6:30 am.

If anyone has any information or witnessed anyone on her property between midnight and 6:30 am on June 29, 2021, please contact local RCMP at [phone redacted].
