Support Martina Bernard as She Recovers from a Life-Changing Attack
Greetings Everyone,
On May 29, 2025, our dear friend, sister, and community light, Martina Bernard, survived a brutal and near-fatal dog attack that has left her in the hospital with severe injuries and a long road to recovery.
She was viciously attacked and sustained deep wounds to her scalp, ear, and body, requiring emergency surgery and 960 stitches to save her life and begin reconstructive healing. She's currently in Broward General Hospital, recovering with the strength and courage that only a true warrior could carry.
In the midst of the chaos, she called out her own name, claiming her will to live, and then called out the names of her niece and nephews, remembering exactly why she needed to survive.
And she did.
Thanks to God, a good Samaritan, and her own instincts, she is still here.
Since the news broke, so many of you, friends, coworkers, and kind-hearted strangers, have reached out to her job and loved ones, asking:
"How can I help?"
"Where can I donate?"
This is that place.
This GoFundMe has not been set up for medical-related costs, but to support her during this critical time of healing and transition. While insurance may cover some hospital bills, it will not touch the growing list of out-of-pocket expenses:
Time off work while she heals
Home care support, therapy, and recovery essentials
Emotional wellness care and items for daily comfort
Basic living expenses while she focuses on restoring her body, mind, and spirit
Every single penny donated will go directly to her support. No amount is too small. Whether it’s $5 or $500, it’s a blessing, and it will be felt.
We are calling on everyone who knows and loves her, or anyone moved by her incredible survival, to give, share, and pray. Let’s show up for her the way she’s shown up for others her whole life.
She fought for her life. Let’s now help her live it - fully, peacefully, and supported.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, kindness, and continued prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Prim & Charmz
