Dear Friends,
We write to you with a deep and saddened heart.
One more time, we are looking at the consequences of this terrible sickness, which I rather not mention, in one of our good friends.
Some of you may know of or may not know of Martin Poj, and what he is going thru at this time.
For those of you that don't know, Martin, Karina and their 2 kids, Nico and Male, arrived in Miami 15 years ago, searching their dream. The same dream many of us have, to give our families a better future.
For Martin, his family is the most important thing, he worked and fought very hard to provide for his family. Little by little with his knowledge, Martin was able to build his career and the opportunities that he was looking for. At first he started off as a valet parker, than as a handyman, he never stopped working. Karina, his wife, always next to him, supporting him, she works as a teacher at Beth Torah and delivers pastries from a Kosher bakery.
Till one day in July of 2015, Martin was diagnosed with level 4, Glioblastoma Multiforme (malignant tumor in the head). When Martin found this out he decided to fight this with everything he has. He said "this is not going to beat me" Martin along with his family did everything possible to fight this horrible disease.
Martín has been fighting this for 2 years, many operations and treatments. Unfortunately 2 months ago, he was told by his doctors that the tumor had grown in his head and there was nothing else they could do. However, Martin didn't give up and kept on fighting this with other treatments.
As of now, Martin is in a hospice care and we can only hope for a miracle and continue to pray to Gd for Refua Shlema for Rafa Chaim Ben Lea.
Despite the fact that Martin is in the hospital in this critical situation, he is very worried about his families monetary issues and to not be able to provide to them as he used to.
We believe that we can help him so that he can be at peace knowing that his home mortgage is paid for. All of us together can make this happen!
Every dollar counts! It will ALL be used to pay for Martin's mortgage, that way he and his family can be at peace!
Every mitzvah that you do (Shabath candles, making challah, etc) do it in his name Rafa Chaim Ben Lea.
We are asking from the bottom of our hearts, that if you can donate, any amount that you can will make a difference.
Hopefully all of your tzedaka and tefilot will achieve an immediate Refua Shlema of all those in need!

Les escribimos con un dolor profundo en nuestro corazon.
Una vez mas, estamos siendo testigo de el deterioro de un amigo, provocado por esta terrible enfermedad.
Muchos de ustedes conocen a Martin Poj y saben por lo que esta pasando el y su familia.
Para los que no lo conocen, Martin, Kari y sus 2 hijos Nico y Male Poj, llegaron a Miami hace 15 años , siguiendo su sueño. El mismo que tenemos todos, de darle un futuro y sustento a nuestras familias.
Para Martin la familia es lo mas importante y siempre lucho y trabajo duro para lograr su objetivo. Siempre poniendo su cuerpo y conocimiento en su trabajo poco a poco fue consiguiendo su estabilidad laboral. Al prinicipio como valet parking, luego handyman, etc nunca paro de trabajar. Su esposa Karina, siempre a su lado acompañandolo, trabajando como morah en instituciones judias y en delivery de bakery kosher.
Hasta que un oscuro dia de Julio del 2015, a Martin lo diagnostican con Glioblastoma multiforme grado 4 (tumor maligno en la cabeza).
En cuanto Martin se entera de su estado decide no bajar los brazos y lucharla. El siempre dijo : " Esto no me va a ganar". El y su familia hicieron todo lo posible e imposible para pelearle a esta dura enfermedad, desde tratamientos convencionales hasta ingresar en un protocolo de investigacion en Washington en donde le daban muchas esperanzas de exitos.
Lucho de 2 años de luchas, operaciones, tratamientos y logros en la enfermedad, desafortunadamente hace 2 meses les dijeron los medicos que el tumor se habia extendido en la cabeza y ya no habia nada mas que hacer.
Sin embargo, Martin , no bajo los brazos y siguio dia a dia luchandola.
Lamentablemente, hoy esta internado en un hospice and palliative care y lo unico que esperamos es un milagro, y seguir rezandole a Hashem por Refua Shlema para Rafa Chaim ben Lea.
En el deterioro que esta sufriendo Martin, el sigue aun muy preocupado por la Parnasa y el techo de su familia. Creemos que le podemos dar paz y tranquilidad mental si lo ayudamos a cancelar el mortgage de su casa y es por eso que iniciamos esta campaña.
Todos unidos podemos lograrlo!!!
Cada dolar cuenta y todo lo que se recaude va a ser utilizado para cancelar la deuda de la casa de Martin y que tanto el como su Sra. puedan estar tranquilos que sus hijos van a seguir teniendo su hogar donde crecer y salir adelante.
Cada mitzvah que hagan, ( encendido de velas,amasado de Challah, ayuda a un indigente, etc ) haganla en nombre de Rafa Chaim ben Lea.
Por favor les pedimos desde lo mas profundo de nuestro corazon, que abran sus almas y donen, todo ayuda.
