Hi everyone,

I’m creating this GoFundMe to support my dear friend Martin, a passionate photographer and videographer whose camera was recently stolen while he was traveling in France.

While rushing to catch a train, Martin accidentally left his camera behind. When he realized and called for the train station and conductors to search for the camera, it was gone. This wasn’t just a piece of equipment—it was his primary tool for creating, storytelling, and expressing himself.

Photography and videography are not only Martin’s professional goals, but also a huge creative outlet for him. Creating is how he processes the world, tells stories, and stays grounded. Losing his camera has been both financially and emotionally discouraging, especially as an upcoming content creator who relies on his gear to grow, practice, and share his work.

Martin asked me to be very clear and transparent: this fundraiser is not meant to cover the full cost of replacing his gear. In true Martin fashion, he takes responsibility for the mistake of leaving his camera behind and does not expect others to shoulder that burden for him. The fundraising goal is set to help with only part of the replacement cost, easing the financial impact so he can get back to creating while he personally covers the rest.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

• Replacing his stolen camera and essential equipment

• Helping him regain access to the creative outlet that means so much to him
