We’re fundraising for our dad, Martin Abril. He was hospitalized on Sunday, August 4th because he was bleeding profusely. He lost so much blood that he was on the edge of falling into a coma if he didn’t receive the proper blood transfusion immediately. Thank God, he was admitted to a hospital and was given proper treatment. Doctors diagnosed him with a stomach ulcer.
My dad underwent surgery and the doctor was able to get the bleeding under control and patch up the ulcer. That was two days ago and my dad seemed good. According to my uncle and grandfather, he looked good and had regained some of his strength. This morning, my grandfather received a call from the hospital saying that my dad started bleeding again and that he also developed a super high fever, which is not good news.
The doctors are going back in to do an endoscopy again to try to figure out where his bleeding is coming from. They think it might be from an artery and if that’s the case, he’s going to need to get transferred to another hospital that has the right equipment to do such sensitive surgery. My dad’s in Mexicali and as some of you know, for the most part, medical expenses have to come out of pocket and we would really appreciate any help given to him. Please help us spread the word. We love him and we don’t want anything to happen to him.
