Olá, o meu nome é Beatriz, tenho 18 anos, e este é o meu melhor amigo, o Marti, um labrador preto cheio de energia e amor, com apenas 4 anos de idade (nascido a 23 de maio de 2021).

Quando tinha apenas 1 ano, em 2022, o Marti sofreu a sua primeira crise de epilepsia — foi tão grave que chegou a perder a vida durante alguns segundos. Felizmente, o meu pai conseguiu trazê-lo de volta. Desde esse dia, o Marti já sofreu várias crises, algumas bastante fortes e longas.

Atualmente, ele toma medicação todos os dias (de manhã e à noite), além de um SOS quando as crises surgem, mas infelizmente continua a ter convulsões. A veterinária recomendou fazer um TAC para percebermos melhor a origem das crises e confirmar se se trata mesmo de epilepsia ou se poderá ser algo mais grave, como um tumor cerebral.

O problema é que o exame custa 600€ ou mais, um valor muito difícil para a nossa família neste momento. Mas queremos fazer tudo o que estiver ao nosso alcance para dar ao Marti a melhor qualidade de vida possível e garantir o tratamento adequado.

Qualquer ajuda, por pequena que seja, fará uma enorme diferença para nós e para o Marti.

Hello, my name is Beatriz, I am 18 years old, and this is my best friend, Marti, a black Labrador full of love and energy, only 4 years old (born on May 23, 2021).

When he was just 1 year old, in 2022, Marti had his first epileptic seizure — it was so severe that he stopped breathing for a few seconds. Luckily, my father was able to bring him back. Since then, Marti has suffered several more seizures, some very strong and long.

Our veterinarian recommended a CT scan to better understand the cause of his seizures and confirm whether it is truly epilepsy or something more serious, such as a brain tumor.

The problem is that the exam costs €600 or more, which is very difficult for my family to afford right now. Still, we want to do everything possible to give Marti the best quality of life and ensure he gets the proper treatment.
