Our mom’s journey with cancer began in 2022, during a season of pain, uncertainty, and unanswered prayers. After months of severe stomach pain and no clear diagnosis here in the U.S., she prayed for direction and felt led to seek testing in Colombia. Those tests revealed abnormal CA levels, and when she returned home, further testing and a biopsy confirmed pancreatic cancer. From the very beginning, we have trusted God to lead every step of this journey and He has been faithful. By His grace, we were connected with an incredible team of doctors who supported her with skill and compassion. In 2023, she endured 8 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by a Whipple surgery in October, and then 4 additional rounds of chemotherapy after surgery. Through prayer, faith, and perseverance, her CA levels dropped dramatically, almost to zero, and she regained strength and hope. We truly witness God’s healing hand at work in every area of her life.
Unfortunately, the cancer has returned. Her CA levels are now extremely high. While chemotherapy remains an option, it would greatly diminish her quality of life. We are prayerfully seeking a path that offers not only time, but life—life with dignity, strength, and hope. God has opened a door for a stem cell treatment with a compassionate, God-fearing physician in Missouri. We believe that God is the ultimate healer, and that medical treatment is one of the ways He works through the hands of faithful doctors. This treatment offers hope for healing and restoration, but it is not covered by insurance, and the cost of treatment is far beyond what our family can afford on our own.
As we continue to pray, fast, and seek God’s will, we are humbly asking for help. Whether through a donation, sharing this page, or lifting our mom up in prayer, your support is part of how God moves. We trust that if this path is God’s will, He will provide and we believe He often provides through the love and generosity of others. Thank you for standing with our family during this difficult season. We place our hope not in money or medicine alone, but in the power of God, who is still a miracle working God today.
“With God all things are possible.” — Matthew 19:26
