Help Me Take the Next Step Toward My Future!

My name is Martel Lee, and I am a 17-year-old student from Kenosha determined to carve a new path for myself and my family. This past year has been the most challenging of my life—I was falsely accused of a crime and tried as an adult, despite a complete lack of evidence. After a long and difficult fight, I am beyond grateful to say that my case has been dismissed. This experience has only strengthened my determination to stay on a positive path, prove myself, and seize every opportunity for a brighter future.

One of those opportunities is a life-changing college tour through Education Youth Development Outreach (EYDO)—a non-profit organization founded by Alvin Owens that empowers inner-city youth by introducing them to historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) across the country. This program has opened doors for so many students, and I know it can do the same for me.

On this tour, I will have the chance to visit colleges, connect with admissions counselors, and gain valuable insight into the application process—something I once thought was out of reach. But I need your help to make this happen. I am seeking sponsorship to cover my travel, lodging, and meals so I can take full advantage of this opportunity.

The Kenosha community stood by me during the hardest year of my life, and I do not take that support for granted.
