As you may or may not know, my wife Marta is up for one hell of a battle! In May of 2022 she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma.

Although there is no cure for this form of cancer, it is entirely treatable with chemo treatments and a Stem Cell Transplant. (scheduled for October)

She is already on her 9th chemo treatment, and things are going in the right direction. But the next stage in October, when she hopefully will be a candidate for a Stem Cell Transplant, is the most important.

The Stem Cell Transplant is a part of the process in her treatment that is very expensive, and our insurance will not cover the entire procedure cost.

The average cost for a Stem Cell transplant is between $10,000 to $75,000. This part of her treatment will give her a better chance at survival.

My wife has shown nothing but strength and resilience during this difficult time. I admire her fortitude and ability to remain her positive self.

While she continues going through her weekly treatments, she cannot work. This GoFundMe will help ease the burden of high medical bills and co-payments.

Also, I will have to leave my job for four weeks and stay at an apartment at the City of Hope so I can be with her as she recovers from her Stem Cell Transplant. So I also will not be working during that time.
