Help Marta Cecilia fight for her life

Marta Cecilia Chacon de Cruz is a devoted mother of seven, and at just 47 years old, she’s facing a life-threatening health crisis. Nine years ago, Marta Cecilia was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and since then, her health has become more complicated. Recently, she suffered a heart attack caused by a Chagas infection, and her condition has worsened with severe fluid buildup in her abdomen and an enlarged liver. She is currently hospitalized at El Salvador, where doctors have already placed a catheter in her heart and are preparing for surgery to remove the fluid. The medical team is also evaluating her for a possible treatment.

Our family is very close—there are nine of us, including six daughters, one son, and our father. Some of my siblings are still studying, and while we are united in supporting our mother, the financial strain is overwhelming. A few friends and relatives have helped, but is not enough. We need to raise funds quickly to cover these critical procedures and give her the best chance at recovery.

Marta Cecilia is the heart of our family. She dreams of seeing her grandchildren grow up and hopes for a future where she can enjoy life with us, free from the limitations of her illness.
