Help Marta, A Mother in Mourning

Hi, my name is Michael. I am raising money for a truly wonderful woman named Marta, whom I met while spending time in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

In December, Marta’s world was shattered when her beloved son passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident.

Since that heartbreaking day, Marta has not had the chance to properly mourn. She lives in Mexico and has spent her life working tirelessly to support her family. After losing her son, she had no choice but to keep working nonstop just to make ends meet and care for her younger daughter.

Marta is one of those rare people whose kindness shines through instantly. She carries herself with warmth and strength, even while bearing unimaginable grief. Every time her son’s name is mentioned, a soft smile crosses her face for a brief moment, quickly followed by tears. It is heartbreaking to watch someone carry so much pain while having no space to heal.

Grieving is not a luxury. It is a human need. Marta deserves the chance to pause, to sit with her memories, and to remember her son without the constant pressure of survival. She deserves a moment to breathe, to heal, and to find even a small measure of peace during this unimaginably difficult time.
